I spend quite some time aboard this beauty in 2018 (Emirates A380-800 spotted in AID - Washington Dulles Airport)

If there's one thing I am more passionate about than flying, it must be data. So image how data related to flying feels to me! Find my 2018 flying stats below - enjoy!

My 2018 flights statistics:

35 flights
118,510 miles flown
4.8 times around the globe
10 days and 6 hours spent in the air
3% of time in 2018 spent in the air
18 business class flights (and 17 in Economy)
1 missed flight (missed connection in Dubai)
0 free upgrades

A total of 35 flights - well spread over the year

I had quite my share of business travel in the first and the last quarter of the year

Aircraft used

The B777 was my main partner in crime - not surprising when doing a lot of intercontinental travel. With 88% of miles flown in wide-body planes, one can say that most of my travel was rather comfortable. 60% of miles flown was on an Airbus - as a good European should! :-)

Airlines used

With nearly 40% of my miles flown on Emirates, I can't quite hide the fact that I am fan. Though the number 2 in this list - United - is not so much a choice as a necessity - I am not a fan of US airlines. ANA was a pleasant surprise.

Departure airports

Singapore Changi is my main (and preferred) airport out of a total of 13 different airports across 4 continents.
